Works with Vista and Windows 7 without problems. Setting it up was very easy. Scanning speed is average using 300 dpi. I like the dual buttons, one to send directly to a file as a jpg image or to a document reader where you can make corrections afterwards. The scanner is light and the usb cable is included and is powered by it.

There you will find, (buried beneath the large 'Windows Vista Compatible' logos, and in very fine print) the following statement:
"IRIScan
The IRIScan correctly supports Windows Vista (32 bits)"
This is all I was able to find to explain why this, otherwise great, product would NOT load or work properly on my 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate O/S. The difficulty starts, but does not end, with IRIScan's lack of a 'digital signature.'
[...] The logo "Ensures compatibility with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows Vista"
This product and it's software are otherwise great! I am very disappointed to be returning it -- I am hopeful I.R.I.S. will soon solve this vexing problem as well as working to live up to the logo's they choose to display.

Iriscan Executive 2 is better than Pentax DSmobile 600 !
I own the two. I agree that the scanning speed is somehow slower than of the Pentax, but the final work is much better. The software bundled with the Iriscan is fantastic !. (The Pentax includes a very poor and sometimes useless software). Of course you can use the Pentax with the software that comes with the Iriscan !
